Schwarz Named GNAC Goalie of the Week for the Third time

WILMINGTON, Mass – After a 2-0 week for the AMCATS that included road conference wins over Albertus Magnus and Regis college, goalie Paul Schwarz has been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalie of the week. It's the third time this season he has received the honor.

Schwarz allowed just 10 goals in the two games and made 32 saves, good for a 76.2% save percentage. With the stellar week of performances, Paul has logged 615 minutes in net. He has allowed 104 goals and stopped 232 shots, good for a 69.0% save percentage. In conference, Schwarz has played every minute in the four game, allowing just 34 goals, stopping 92 shot and is sporting a 73% save percentage, best in the GNAC. Paul also currently leads all Division III goalies in saves per game with 23.0, and save percentage which sits at 68.5%.

With the two wins last week, the AMCATS improved to 4-7 on the season, 2-2 in Conference which is currently good enough for fifth in the conference, one game out of third place behind Rivier University and Lasell College.

Schwarz and the rest of the AMCATS continue their GNAC schedule this week with games against Rivier at home on Wednesday evening, then on the road against Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.
