Men's Hockey Falls Short to Worcester State

PAXTON, Mass: 4-2 was the final from Horgan Arena as the Anna Maria Men's Hockey Team fell to Worcester State in non-conference action this evening.

 

The Lancers (9-6) ended the first period down to the AMCATS 2-1, but go on a four goal run to end the game. Evan Schieber, Mitch Purdie, Nick Pennucci, and Hennry Bruckner all tallied goals in the contest for Worcester state. Matthew Manning also contributed by adding two assists and going 18-of-26 on faceoff.

 

The AMCATS (4-14-4) Had two goals in the first period of the contest, the first came in under three minutes from Quinn Tucker (Hancock, NH) with Connor McIntosh (Spokane, WA) on the assist. The last goal came seventeen minutes into the first when McIntosh was able to finish it off his own rebound on the power play.

Brendan Bishop (W, 1-1) allowed 2 goals and finished with 23 saves.

 

Julius Huset (Oakdale, MN) (L, 0-2) allowed 3 goals and ended with 23 saves.
