Men's Hockey Falls Short to Chatham

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Hockey Team came up short this evening in non-conference play to Chatham College in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with a final of 7-5.

 

The Cougars (4-9) Michael Thamert led the way as he was able to complete the hat trick on just five total shots. Clay Plyler finished the contest going two for two, with his goals coming in the second and third periods.

 

The AMCATS (4-9-3) Nick Kukuris (Littleton, CO) found the back of the net twice this evening to push his season goal total to six. Aleksandr Makarov (Indian Trail, NC), Patrick Manning (Messena, NY), and Connor McIntosh (Spokane, WA) rounded up the last of the scoring for Anna Maria, as they all tallied one goal in the contest. Jack Sitzman (Redondo Beach, CA) made his presence felt with his ability to find the open man, as he accumulated three assists on the night.

Mathew Calas (W, 1-1) allowed 5 goals with 25 saves.

 

Patrick McGuane (L, 2-2-2) (Castleton, NY) allowed 5 goals with 13 saves.

 

Brendan Boncore (Oakland, MI) allowed 1 goal with 10 saves.
