Rapoza Finishes with 18 in Men's Basketball Loss to Colby-Sawyer

PAXTON, Mass: 80-86 was the final of this afternoons Anna Maria Men's Basketball game as they were unable to defeat Colby-Sawyer in conference action in the Fuller Center.

 

Early on in the game the Chargers (8-6, 2-0 GNAC) and the AMCATS (5-11, 1-2 GNAC) traded back and forth with 3-point shots. There were twelve made in the first half combined, with Colby-Sawyer having a slight advantage being up 46-40 going into the locker room. Chargers Center Dana Bean would also hit the 1000-point mark in the first half making him the 20th to do so in school history.  

 

In the second half the Chargers would continue shooting the ball at a high percentage, going 59.3% from the floor. Anna Maria was able to match them point for point in the half, but the 6-point lead from the first period made the difference at the final buzzer for Colby-Sawyer, giving them the 86-80 victory over the AMCATS.
