Men's Basketball Shoots 49 Percent from the Floor to Carry them to First GNAC Win of the Season

PAXTON, Mass: 74-51 was the final from Vermont, with the Anna Maria Men's Basketball Team getting a conference win over Norwich University this afternoon.

 

The Cadets (6-6, 0-1 GNAC) were led by Donovan Lewis Jr. and Dan Bertrand as they both finished in double digits. Lewis finished with a stat line of 13 points, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 3 rebounds for the contest. Bertrand was just one point behind with 12 to go with his 2 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist.

 

The AMCATS (5-9, 1-0 GNAC) top performers in the contest were Mike Rapoza (Charlton, Mass.), Bobby Perette (Marshfield, Mass.), and Angel Perez (Miami, FL). Rapoza completed his 7th straight Double-Double with 13 points and 14 rebounds, he also added 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals to his stat line. Perette had the game high in points with 16, going 5-11 from the floor and 3-8 from behind the line. Perez put up 11 points, 4 steals, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds in the 26 minutes that he was on the floor.
