Men's Basketball Falls Flat to Mammoths

PAXTON, Mass: The Ann Maria Men's Basketball Team was defeated by Amherst College this evening in non-conference action 98-58 in the Fuller Center.

 

The Mammoths (4-0) had 15 out of their 16 players score this even leading them to the win. Garrett Day finished with a game high 21 points while coming off the bench, including 2 assists and 3 rebounds. Joseph Schneider was also able to finish the contest in double digits with 12 points, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds. Also for Amherst, Eric Sellew finished with a game high 10 rebounds to go with his 6 points.

 

The AMCATS (2-4) were led by Bobby Perette (Marshfield, Mass.) and Sidney Limage (Randolph, Mass.) who both finishes with 8 points each. Angel Perez (Miami, Fl) finished just behind them as he finished with 7 points off the bench. Anna Maria finished the game shooting 34% from the field and 32% from behind the 3-point line, while the Mammoths shot 51% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc. The AMCATS finished with 27 rebounds compared to Amherst's 47.
