Click Earns Spot on National All-District Team

Paxton, MA. – Anna Maria College men's basketball player Anthony Click (Springfield, MA) has earned a spot on the 2013 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III Northeast All-District Second Team. The awards recognize the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III.

The senior has already garnered accolades from D3Hoops.com (Northeast 2nd Team) and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (Northeast 2nd Team). Click was also named the 2012-13 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year and was selected GNAC First Team All-Conference and All-Tournament.

In his final season in crimson and white, Click led the league in minutes played, assists and steals while averaging 19.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in conference play. A complete player, Click led the AMCATS to a 21-9 overall record and a conference best 16-2 record, earing Anna Maria the GNAC regular season title and the #1 seed in the GNAC Tournament.

Click ended his 107-game career with 1,772 points (16.6 ppg.) and 766 rebounds (7.2), 143 blocks and 354 assists ranking him third all-time in both points and rebounds.

Anna Maria also set a school record with a 17-game win streak. The 'Cats hosted the GNAC Finals but suffered a tough 87-80 loss to #2 seed Albertus Magnus. Anna Maria's season ended in the ECAC semi-finals to eventual 2013 champions Eastern Connecticut State University.
