Field Hockey's Post Season Ended in First Round

PAXTON, Mass: Today the Anna Maria Field Hockey team took on Colby-Sawyer in the first round of the GNAC tournament early this afternoon and was unable to get the victory, as they fell 4-1 in New London New Hampshire.

The Chargers (14-4) had three players combine for the four goals that they scored in the contest. Rachel Fisher led the team in scoring as she was able to put two into the net on just three shots. Bella Robinson and Jordan Teixeira both had one goal apiece to wrap up the scoring for Colby-Sawyer.

The AMCATS (7-10) season ended today with the loss, but Lauren Lapierre (Worcester, Mass) was not going down without a fight as she found the back of the net in the 58^th minute. That goal was assisted on by Chayna Bingham-Hendricks (Mashpee, Mass.).

Colby-Sawyer will now go on to play the second seed Lasell this Wednesday at 3:00 PM.
