Field Hockey Lanced by Worcester State

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Field hockey team fell to Worcester State in non-conference action this evening 5-1 in Worcester.

 

The Lancers (6-5) totaled twenty-three shots on the night and had four people find the back of the net. Cassidy Windler led Worcester State with two goals and one assist in the contest. Windler was followed by Katelyn Santos, Olivia Antonelli, and Michaila Parent who all were able to score one goal apiece. Antonelli was also able to lead the team in assists with two.  

 

The AMCATS (4-5) were only able to get six shots off on the night and managed just one goal. Junior Allyson Shaw (Holden, Mass.) ended the night for all scoring as she was able to find the net in the 60th minute of the contest off of a pass form Chyna Bingham-Hendricks (Mashpee, Mass.).

 

Worcester State will be back on the field this Saturday the 6th at 4:00 PM as they face Eastern Connecticut State.

 

Anna Maria will be back in action this Saturday the 6th at 11:00 AM as they will play GNAC opponent Lasell College.
