Bio

John Alicea enters his second season at Anna Maria College as the Offensive Line Coach. In his first season at AMC he coached ECFCAll-Conference selection, Dan Stout. Prior to coaching at Anna Maria, Alicea spent three years as the Offensive Line Coach at his High School Alma Mater, Bridgewater-Raritan (NJ). During his time at Bridgewater-Raritan, Alicea helped improve and create Bridgewater's Offensive Line to be one of the most efficient and productive in the state. His last two years at Bridgewater, Alicea's Offensive Line paved the way for Bridgewater's consecutive undefeated regular seasons ('15 and '16) culminating in a combined record of 22-2, losing both games to Westfield High School in the championship finals.

Prior to coaching at Bridgewater, Alicea attended Stonehill College for his undergraduate and was a scholarship athlete for the Skyhawks. He played all positions on the Offensive Line with a focus with the interior offensive line positions. Alicea appeared for the Skyhawks primarily as a back-up throughout his career, although his first collegiate start came during Stonehill's first nationally televised game against the University of  New Haven in the 2012 season in a unfortunate 45-41 loss.

Before playing at Stonehill, Alicea was a three year starter for Head Coach Scott Bray during his beginning years at the helm of Bridgewater-Raritan. During his career, Alicea earned multiple accolades; not only for his playing ability, but his leadership skills, becoming a recipient of the National High School Football Foundation scholar-athlete award.

Alicea earned a European History Degree from Stonehill College
