Bio

Brett Banfield enters his third season with the Anna Maria College football team. Brett obtained his Bachelor's Degree in History and his Master's Degree in Sport Management at the University of Florida in Gainsville. 

Banfield's playing experience included time at Durham University in England as a safety, hybrid slot receiver, and H -back position and long snapper. While with Durham the team went undefeated and won their Conference Championship. He then moved on to the Rockingham Vipers, based in Perth, Australia where he played defensive back and long snapper in 2014. That team won their league championship while he was there.

His coaching experience began in 2011 as a student volunteer with the University of Florida Gators football team. He then moved on to Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida where he served as the running backs coach for the varsity football team.

Brett has spent time as a head coach at Durham University where he was also the offensive coordinator. 

More recently, Coach Banfield was the running backs coach, assistant director of football operations, pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at one time or another at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Brett is originally from Gainsville, Florida.
