Alex Cohen Earns ECFC Offensive Player of the Week
PAXTON, MA - The Anna Maria football team saw sophomore student-athlete Alex Cohen (Plymouth, MA) take home the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) offensive player of the week award as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Despite the loss to the Nichols Bison last Saturday, Cohen filled up the stat sheet when he threw for 311 yards on 21-43 passing that included an 83-yard strike to Marquis Roderique (Dorchester, MA). Cohen would also go on to finish the day with a quarterback rating of 132.6. Cohen's recognition for ECFC Offensive Player of the Week is his first, and his second career ECFC honor (won rookie of the week on October 8, 2018).
Cohen and the AMCATS continue to prepare this week as they travel to football powerhouse, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this Saturday, September, 28 at 1 PM.
