Five AMCATS Named to Worcester Area All-Star Team

PAXTON, Mass: Today the Worcester area SID's announced the 28th Annual Steve "Merc" Morris All-Star Team that is comprised of all Worcester area Institutions.

The AMCATS had five athletes make the team at four different positions. Senior Dan Stout (Mercerville, NJ) was the only player to receive First Team honors at his position as an offensive lineman. Senior Paul Robitaille (Johnston, RI) made Second Team for his performance this year, also on the offensive line.

Sophomore Marcelino Da Veiga (Central Falls, RI) made Second Team for wide receivers. Da Veiga played in all 10 games for the AMCATS this season and was able to haul in 35 passes, for 494 total yards, and 5 touchdowns.

Sophomore Aiden Folster (Wappinger Falls, NY) secured a spot on the All-Star Second Team as a Defensive Back. Folster finished the year with 74 tackles which was good enough for a team high. of his 74 take downs 57 of them came as unassisted tackles.

The Last AMCAT, Kai Nero-Clark a senior form Wheatley Heights, NY was named to the Second Team for his performance this season on the Defensive Line. Kai finished this season with 47 total tackles, 5 of which were tackles for a loss to total 27 yards, along with 3.5 sacks, and 2 blocked kicks.
