Footballs Scoreless Second Half leads to Loss to Dean

 

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Football team dropped their last game of the 2018 season this afternoon to Dean College in ECFC action 19-13 in Franklin Massachusetts.

Offensive Leaders

 

The Bulldogs Quarterback Terrell Watts threw 28 times throughout the contest completing 15 for 154 yard. Watts also rushed 6 times but was brought down in the back field every time to lose 20 yards total. Deans running game was topped by DeAndre Grange, who got 30 carries totaling 115 yards and 3 scores on the day. Errol Breaux was Watts number one choice this afternoon as he caught 5 passes for 51 yards, just one yard ahead of Tyzohn Poole. Poole had 3 catches for 50 yards, with a 17-yard average per catch.

 

The AMCATS throw over 30 times for the third straight game with 35 attempts. Alex Cohen (Plymouth, Mass.) was able to complete 14 of those passes for 114 yards and 2 interceptions. Cohen also scored one of the teams two touchdowns on a 42-yard scamper. He also found himself the second leading rusher for Anna Maria with 72 yards on 14 attempts. Michael Lopez (Sleepy Hollow, NY) led the team in rushing yards with 83, on just 10 attempts. Senior Bailey Braga (Foster, RI) led Anna Maria with receiving yards as he caught 3 passes for 39 yards, just above his brother Hayden Braga (Foster, RI) who also finished with 3 catches for 32 yards.

 

Defensive Leaders

 

Dean Had two players get into double digit for tackles, Shannon Moxey who ended the games with 12 stops and a forced fumble. London Chambers was right behind with 10 total tackles in the contest. David Marino-Silver also contributed two interceptions that he returned for 13 yards and tallied 5 tackles as well.

 

Anna Maria's Jude Sampson (Waterbury, Conn.) led the defense in tackles as he compiled 9, with 1 going for a loss of 2 yards. Dylan Diorio (South Grafton, Mass.) closely followed suit as he was just 1 short with 8 tackles in the game.
