PAXTON, MA...Anna Maria College and the athletic department recently opened the new Esports Center as part of launching the new ESports program this past fall. The AMCAT Esports Center is equipped with 12 state of the art Alienware PC stations featuring 30 series graphics cards and 240hz monitors, Vertagear gaming chairs, and Alienware Darkside of the Moon computer chassis. Within these incredible cases are NVIDIA 3070 graphics cards, 10th generation Intel I7 processors, and Aurora Liquid Coolers. Of course, no esports setup is complete without RGBs, and our esports center happily glows in over 10,000 colors. Everything from desk to television reflects the competition and shines like no tomorrow.  The esports program parterned with Alienware to equip the Esports Center. For over 25 years Dell has created state of the art Esports computers through their gaming brand Alienware. With some of the most advanced chip sets and graphics cards loaded into hyper-futuristic chassis, Alienware PCs are often said to look like spaceships,  

"This esports center brings a new level of committment and progress to AMCAT esports and I am excited to begin competing in such a fantastic facility. The center provides a state-of-the-art facility for our students to compete at a high level," commneted Head Coach Zach Gandara. "This center is also going to be a great outlet for students to come together as a community. Lifelong friendships can be forged through gaming, and we are going to be hosting a number community events so that we can help facilitate activites for the entire campus community."

The Anna Maria College Esports team, a nascent program announced this past March, that they have accepted an invitation to join the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC). In addition, the program will join additional national recognized esports conferences in the coming months.
