Baseball Cooled Off By Cougars
WORCESTER, MA - On Wednesday, April 17th the Anna Maria College baseball team traveled down the street to take on the Clark University Cougars for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS lost the game 12-2.
After ripping off 3 straight conference wins, the Amcats were cooled off by Clark in a non conference matchup on Wednesday. Anna Maria started the scoring in the 1st after Andrew Denison was hit by a pitch, Jarrod Marifiote singled and both came around to score on a 2 run double from Jeremy Rosenberg. That would be all the scoring the cats would do on the day as Clark rattled off 12 straight runs over the next 7 innings, including 7 in the 4th, to earn a 12-2 run rule victory. Anna Maria starter Sean Christiansen looked good in his 2 innings of work only allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks.

The AMCATS will be back in action on Sunday, April 21st where they will take on the Pilgrims of New England College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening pitch is set for 1:00pm.
