Briand Named Anna Maria Head Baseball Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—The Anna Maria College Athletic Department has named Dan Briand the Head Baseball Coach as announced by Athletic Director, Serge DeBari on Monday morning. Briand joins the Anna Maria community with over 10 years of baseball coaching experience. He currently serves as the assistant coach for the American Legion Baseball, Northbridge Post 343 team. He has been with Post 343 since 2006.
Leahey Named to Worcester Area Baseball All-Star Team

WORCESTER, Mass. ---- The seventh annual Worcester Area Baseball All-Star team has been announced after a vote by sports information directors representing nine Worcester area colleges and universities. In addition, five major award winners were also named for their respective contributions to the success of their baseball programs.

WINTHROP, Mass. – Anna Maria College senior baseball player, Matthew Leahey (Rutland, Mass.) was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team (Infield) as announced by the league’s office on Monday afternoon. Sophomore Callan Finn-McMahon (West Hartford, Conn.) was named to the GNAC all-sportsmanship team.
Korp and Marsh Step Down as Softball and Baseball Coaches

Baseball Falls in Season Finale with Monks

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Saint Joseph's College toppled Anna Maria College, 19-1 and 6-1, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader at the New England Baseball Complex on Saturday afternoon. The win boosts the Monks to 30-6 on the season and 13-1 in the GNAC while the AMCATS cap their season at 7-31 overall and 0-14 in the conference.
Cadets Sweep AMCATS in Two

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University baseball team hosted Anna Maria College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Garrity Field. The Cadets swept the AMCATS with an 8-0 win in game one and a come-from-behind 2-1 victory in game two. Norwich improves to 12-17 overall and 6-4 in GNAC play with the sweep while Anna Maria falls to 7-29 overall and 0-12 in conference.

Northborough, Mass. – The Anna Maria College baseball team dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games on Saturday afternoon. Anna Maria dropped 10-6 in game one before falling a close 8-7 battle in game two. The AMCATS fall to 7-27 overall and 0-10 in the conference while the Raiders improve to 3-23 and 2-8 in GNAC play.
Rams Roll to Victory over AMCATS

BOSTON, Mass. – The Suffolk baseball team had an offensive showing with 66 runs scored in two victories over the Anna Maria College on Saturday afternoong. The Rams took a 30-8 victory in Game 1 and a 36-2 victory in game two at East Boston Memorial Park. The AMCATS fall to 7-25 on the season and 0-8 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play while Suffolk improves to 15-7 overall and 8-0 in conference action.

The Lasers improve to 6-9 on the season and 2-2 in GNAC play with the 7-0 and 4-0 shutout victories, while the AMCATS are 7-21 and remain winless in conference games at 0-6.
