Graduate men’s ice hockey player Samson Mouland was named AMCAT Spotlight Player of the Week for games played January 20th through the 26th. On Thursday January 23rd the AMCATS would host the Panthers of Plymouth State. Samson would get the offensive momentum going for the AMCATS. Samson would find himself sending a pass in front to assist on the AMCATS first goal of the game against the Panthers. Mouland offensive momentum and skills would not stop there, when two minutes later he would fire a shot into the back of the net to put the AMCATS up against the Panthers 2 to 0.  Mouland would continue to spark the AMCATS offense creating opportunities for the AMCATS to score and add to their lead. His spectacular and dominating offensive skills would continue against the Panthers and would lead to the AMCATS defeating the Panthers 4 to 2 and giving the Panthers their first MASCAC loss of the season. Mouland night would end with a +3 rating with a goal and an assist against the Panthers. Mouland goal would  be his second goal of the season for the AMCATS. Mouland sensational week would continue as the AMCATS would travel to play the Owls of Westfield State, it would be the expectational offensive opportunities and skills that he would create for the AMCATS that would tally another assist for Mouland but also would lead the AMCATS to victory over another MASCAC opponent Westfield State 4 to 1. Samson currently has 7 points with 2 goals and 5 assists and a +4 rating with the AMCATS so far this season. 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Thursday January 30th where they will host the Raiders of Rivier University for a MASCAC conference game. Opening Puck-drop is set for 5:40pm.
